Kitchen Remodeling Services in Scottsdale

Scottsdale housing stock spans seventy years and four very different price bands. A Shea Corridor ranch built in the 1970s needs a different scope than a DC Ranch or Desert Mountain custom home, and a South Scottsdale bungalow near Old Town needs a different one again. We size the work to the house.

Bathroom Remodeling in Scottsdale

Most kitchen clients hand us a bathroom next, so we carry the full bath list too: all bathroom services, master bathroom remodeling, luxury master bathroom remodeling, small bathroom remodeling, guest and hall bathroom remodeling, half bath and powder room remodeling, Jack-and-Jill bathroom remodeling, condo bathroom remodeling, accessible and aging-in-place bathrooms, bathroom layout reconfiguration, wet room conversion, bathroom additions, basement bathroom remodeling, and historic and vintage bathroom renovation.

That last one matters more here than in most metros. Scottsdale incorporated on June 25, 1951, and the midcentury housing that went up right after is now prime renovation stock.

How Much Does a Kitchen Remodel Cost in Scottsdale?

Honest ranges, not a teaser price. Scottsdale resale values vary widely between South Scottsdale and North Scottsdale, with many North Scottsdale homes clearing $5 million, and remodel budgets track that spread closely.

Estimated ranges, not quoted prices. Your figure depends on the house.

How Much Does a Kitchen Remodel Cost in Scottsdale?
ScopeEstimated RangeWhat drives it
Cabinet refacing only$4,500 to $12,000Door style, box count, finish
Countertops only$3,500 to $14,000Material, square footage, edge, seams
Mid-range full remodel$35,000 to $70,000Semi-custom cabinets, quartz, stock appliances
Upper-mid full remodel$70,000 to $130,000Custom cabinets, natural stone, panel-ready appliances
Luxury / structural remodel$130,000 to $400,000+Wall removal, expansion, full custom millwork

Five things move the number more than anything else. Whether a wall is load-bearing. Whether the sink, range or refrigerator moves, since relocating plumbing and gas is where budgets quietly break. Cabinet tier, because full custom carries a four-week-plus lead time and a price to match. Slab selection, where a single exotic granite can cost more than an entire run of laminate. And permits, which Scottsdale requires for structural, electrical and plumbing changes.

Ask for a line-item estimate. Anyone who will not break out cabinets, counters, labor and permits separately is hiding something.

Countertop Materials We Fabricate and Install

Material choice drives roughly a third of a kitchen budget, so it is worth getting right.

MarbleEvery 5 to 10 yearsVery goodSoft, Mohs 3Baking stations, statement islands

LaminateNeverPoorScars permanentlyRentals, budget refreshes

Quartz is about 93% aggregate to 7% polyester resin by weight and comes in 6, 12, 20, 30 and 40 mm slabs. It is non-porous, so it never needs sealing, and it sits at 7 on the Mohs hardness scale against marble's 3. The tradeoff is heat: the resin has no UV stability and keeps hardening over the years, so a pan straight off the burner is the one thing that will mark it.

Natural stone is the opposite trade. It shrugs off heat and takes an edge profile beautifully, but an unsealed slab will stain and harbor bacteria, which is why we re-seal with a modern impregnator every five to ten years rather than the annual routine older sealers demanded.

One thing worth saying plainly: cutting and polishing engineered stone releases crystalline silica dust, and the health record is serious. Roughly 500 California fabrication workers had been diagnosed with silicosis by January 2026, and Australia banned engineered stone outright on July 1, 2024. Ask any fabricator you hire whether they cut wet and use proper respiratory protection. We do.

Counters run 25 to 26 inches deep at a 36-inch finished height. Undermount sinks need a finished, polished edge at the cutout and a silicone joint; self-rimming sinks hang from the rim and cost less to set.

Cabinets: Custom, Semi-Custom, Stock, or Refaced

Four different budgets, four different answers.

Stock cabinets arrive in about a week and cost the least, but they come in fixed widths and rarely fit an older Scottsdale wall that is out of square. Semi-custom modifies stock sizes and sits in the middle. Full custom fits the room exactly, avoids the double-width stiles you get when two mass-produced face-frame boxes meet, and takes four weeks or more to build.

Frameless European boxes are worth knowing about. A 12-inch frameless cabinet accepts a 10-inch drawer where a face-frame box of the same width only takes 8.5. Over a full kitchen that recovers real storage.

If your boxes are sound plywood and only the doors look dated, new doors and drawer fronts gets you a new kitchen face for a fraction of replacement, usually inside a week. If the boxes are swollen particle board under a leaking sink, refacing is money thrown away and built-to-fit cabinetry is the honest recommendation.

We spec 35 mm European cup hinges with six-way adjustment, soft-close on every door and drawer, and full-extension metal glides rated for 75 to 100 pounds. Older three-quarter-extension slides leave the back of every drawer unreachable, which is why so many kitchens feel short on storage when they are not.

Finish matters for air quality too. We use low-formaldehyde and no-added-formaldehyde panels and water-based finishes, because cabinetry off-gassing is the main indoor air source in a tightly built modern house.

Open Concept Kitchen Remodeling

Frank Lloyd Wright spent his winters here from 1937 until 1959 at Taliesin West, and he argued for exactly this: pull the kitchen into the living space so the host is not shut away in a back room. The idea took hold across American homes from the 1970s onward.

The honest version has limits. Removing walls costs you noise and odor containment, gives you nowhere to hide a mess, and makes heating and cooling less efficient, which is not a small thing when Scottsdale hit 122°F on June 26, 1990. Enthusiasm for full open plans cooled in the late 2010s for those reasons.

What works now, especially in larger North Scottsdale homes, is a partial open plan with a back prep kitchen behind it. The main kitchen stays presentable for guests; the mess stays out of sight. See open concept conversions for how we handle beam sizing and header work when the wall turns out to be load-bearing.

Our Kitchen Remodeling Process

  1. Free in-home estimate. We measure, photograph, and talk budget honestly before anyone signs anything.
  2. Design and 3D rendering. You see the kitchen before demolition, with a written spec and selection list.
  3. Permits and ordering. We pull Scottsdale permits and lock in cabinet and slab lead times up front.
  4. Demolition and rough-in. Dust containment goes up first. Electrical, plumbing and framing follow.
  5. Cabinets, template, installation. Boxes set first, then the slab is templated to the installed cabinets, never before.
  6. Finish and punch. Backsplash, hardware, trim, then a walkthrough and a written punch list.

Why Scottsdale Homeowners Choose Us

Licensed and insured, with an Arizona ROC licensed, bonded and insured, with general liability coverage in force. Written line-item estimates. In-house crews on cabinets and counters rather than a rotating cast of subs. Fixed start dates that we hold. And a clean site: dust barriers, daily cleanup, and floor protection, because most of our clients live in the house while we work.

Scottsdale has become one of the country's top destinations for relocating millionaires, and the standard here is set by the resort trade. That is the finish level we build to.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Scottsdale kitchen remodel cost in practice?

Most full kitchen remodels in Scottsdale run $35,000 to $130,000 depending on cabinet tier and whether anything structural moves. Countertop-only projects run $3,500 to $14,000, and cabinet refacing runs $4,500 to $12,000.

How long does a Scottsdale kitchen remodel usually take?

Six to ten weeks for a standard full remodel once materials arrive. Custom cabinets add four or more weeks of lead time before demolition starts, so order early.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. In-home measurement and a written line-item estimate cost nothing and carry no obligation.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured in Arizona?

Yes. We are an Arizona ROC licensed contractor and carry general liability insurance, and we provide a certificate of insurance on request.

Do you serve my area?

We cover Scottsdale ZIP codes 85250 through 85269 plus Paradise Valley, Arcadia, Carefree, Cave Creek and Fountain Hills. Call (480) 776-6323 with your ZIP and we will confirm.

Can we live at home while you remodel the kitchen?

Almost everyone does. We set dust barriers, protect flooring, and can usually rig a temporary sink and refrigerator station so you are not eating out for two months.

Reface or replace: which is right for my cabinets?

Reface if the boxes are solid plywood and square and you only dislike the doors. Replace if the carcases are water-damaged particle board, the layout is wrong, or you want deeper drawers.

Quartz or granite for a Scottsdale kitchen?

For most Scottsdale kitchens, yes. Quartz never needs sealing and resists scratching better. Granite wins on heat tolerance and on the character of a natural slab, and it is the better pick if you put hot pans directly on the counter.

Do you pull the permits with the City of Scottsdale?

Yes. Any structural, electrical or plumbing change in Scottsdale requires a permit, and we handle the application and inspections as part of the contract.

Do you handle HOA approvals in Scottsdale communities?

Yes, and in communities like Gainey Ranch and DC Ranch that step is not optional. We prepare the submittal package and work to the association's schedule.
