We offer heated floor systems and freestanding stone-resin tub installation. Our team provides elevation drawings and dedicated project management, delivering spa-grade suites for North Scottsdale and Paradise Valley homes and exacting results for both residential and commercial projects. Backed by an Arizona ROC licensed, bonded and insured contracting team, we have completed kitchen and bathroom projects of every size, from single steam shower builds to complete estate master suites.

From vein-matching a slab pair so the pattern mirrors across a shower wall to setting a steam enclosure with a sloped ceiling so condensation runs off rather than drips, our team handles every detail. Serving Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia and Carefree, we deliver discreet, precise, professional work on every luxury bathroom.

What Separates This From a Good Master Bath

Four things, each of which is a construction decision rather than a shopping decision.

Slab instead of tile. Large-format stone slab on shower walls, with veining book-matched so the pattern mirrors across the room. No grout lines at all, which means nothing to clean and nothing to discolor. It has to be planned at slab selection and template, and the panels are heavy enough to need proper backing and handling.

Steam. A steam shower is a sealed, insulated enclosure with a vapor-tight ceiling sloped so condensation runs to the wall rather than dripping on you, a generator sized to the enclosure volume and surface materials, and a fully waterproofed envelope with no gaps. Retrofitting one into an ordinary shower does not work. It is built as a steam room from the framing out.

Custom vanity millwork. Built to the room rather than bought in a width. Plywood carcases, frame-and-panel or slab doors in solid hardwood or veneer, sprayed lacquer or hand-applied stain, 35 mm European cup hinges with six-way adjustment, soft-close throughout, and full-extension glides rated to 75 to 100 pounds. Interior fittings designed in at drawing stage.

Systems you do not see. Heated floors. A digital thermostatic shower valve holding temperature within a degree. Zoned and dimmable lighting. A properly sized exhaust system. Sound. These are the things that make a room feel expensive without appearing in a photograph.

Scottsdale supports this work. North Scottsdale resale runs around $667,450 with many homes clearing $5 million, the city holds the fourth-largest concentration of AAA Five-Diamond resorts in the country and the highest per-capita count of destination spas in the US as of 2016, and it has recently been named a top destination for relocating millionaires. Clients here have stayed in the rooms they are asking us to build.

Marble is the classic luxury bathroom surface and it is soft, at 3 on the Mohs scale against engineered quartz at 7, and it etches with acid. That is a maintenance reality, not a reason to avoid it, and we would rather you know before you choose it than after.

A note on fabrication: cutting and polishing engineered stone releases crystalline silica dust, with roughly 500 California fabrication workers diagnosed with silicosis by January 2026, and Australia banned the material outright on July 1, 2024. Ask any fabricator you hire whether they cut wet and use respiratory protection.

Luxury Master Bathroom Cost

Luxury Master Bathroom Cost
ScopeEstimated RangeNotes
High-end refresh, same layout$45,000 to $85,000Slab, custom vanity, upgraded fixtures
Full luxury master remodel$70,000 to $150,000New shower build, stone, millwork, heated floor
Steam shower addition$18,000 to $45,000Generator, sealed enclosure, controls
Estate master suite$150,000 to $400,000+Layout changes, dual zones, closet integration
Suite plus closet reconfiguration$200,000 to $500,000+Structural work, full millwork package

Cost drivers at this tier: slab selection, since you often buy the whole slab whether you use it or not; fixture lead times, which on specialty European fittings can run months and govern the whole schedule; hand-applied millwork finishes, priced by the hour; and structural work where the suite footprint changes.

The Foundation Nobody Photographs

Everything above is finish. What decides whether a luxury bathroom is still beautiful in fifteen years is the waterproofing underneath, and at this budget there is no excuse for cutting it.

Tile is not waterproof and grout is porous. Water reaches framing unless a bonded membrane stops it, covering every wet wall and the shower floor before anything is set, with a pan beneath the tile as a second layer. Corners, changes of plane, curbs, benches and niches get reinforced. We leak test before tile.

In a steam enclosure the standard is higher still, because steam finds its way into any gap and the vapor barrier has to be continuous across the ceiling as well.

Timeline

Eight to fourteen weeks of construction for a full luxury master, and longer where structural work or specialty fixture lead times govern. Design, selection and ordering ahead of that typically runs six to twelve weeks.

Frameless glass is measured after tiling and adds two to three weeks at the end. Slab fabrication runs ten to fourteen days from template.

Related Services

Most luxury bathroom projects run alongside estate-level kitchen work in the same contract. Vanity millwork comes through custom cabinet installation and stone through our slab fabrication shop. For an open curbless design see wet room builds, and for footprint changes see replanning a bathroom. The standard version is covered under remodeling the master bath, and the bathroom remodeling hub.

We build luxury master suites throughout North Scottsdale including DC Ranch, Desert Mountain and Gainey Ranch, plus Central Scottsdale, across 85250 through 85269. We also serve Paradise Valley estate homes, Arcadia and Carefree. See Scottsdale Kitchen Remodeling Pros.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a luxury master bathroom cost in Scottsdale?

Estimated $70,000 to $150,000 for a full luxury remodel and $150,000 to $400,000 or more for an estate suite with layout changes. A steam shower added to an existing bath runs $18,000 to $45,000.

Can you add a steam shower to my existing shower?

Not as a retrofit. A steam enclosure has to be sealed and insulated with a vapor-tight sloped ceiling and a generator sized to the space, which means building it as a steam room from the framing out.

Is marble a mistake in a bathroom?

No, but know what you are choosing. Marble is soft at 3 on the Mohs scale and etches with acid, so it will develop a patina. Plenty of clients want exactly that. If you want it to look new in ten years, choose quartzite or porcelain.

How long does a luxury master bath take?

Eight to fourteen weeks of construction, plus six to twelve weeks of design and ordering. Specialty fixtures with long lead times often set the schedule rather than the construction itself.

What is book-matching and can you do it on shower walls?

Two slabs cut from the same block and opened like a book so the veining mirrors. Yes, and it is one of the most striking things you can do in a bathroom. It is planned at slab selection, not at installation.

Do you install heated floors?

Yes, as part of the floor build-up before tile. It is far cheaper to include now than to retrofit, and in a stone-floored bathroom it is the upgrade clients mention most.

Are you licensed and insured for luxury master bathroom remodeling work?

Yes. We are Arizona ROC licensed and carry general liability insurance.

Can you work while we are out of state for the summer?

Yes. Many of our clients travel seasonally. Weekly photo updates, written approvals on selections, and the house secured each night.
